A watch that went to the MOON and back

Bulova made space history on August 2, 1971—during the Apollo 15 mission, a moon pilot chronograph, customized for lunar conditions by Bulova engineers, was worn on the moon.

The Bulova Wrist Chronograph was Commander Dave R. Scott’s personal timepiece on the 1971 Apollo 15 mission. It was the only personal watch (not owned by the government) that went to the moon.

Just recently, Dave Scott’s personal Bulova chronograph was auctioned and ended up selling for $1.62 million dollars!

Now Bulova makes history again with the special edition Moon Watch, updated with exclusive high performance quartz movement with a frequency of 262 kHz for unparalleled accuracy, continuing a history of precision timing.

Features include super-luminous hands and markers, anti-reflective sapphire glass, tachymeter and calendar all housed in a solid 316L surgical-grade stainless steel case in silver-tone with black dial.

The Dave Scott Bulova Re-Edition comes with two interchangeable straps, a textured black leather strap as well as a loop-and-hook, nylon NASA-style strap similar to the one found on Scott’s personal watch with nubuck leather patch that commemorates the date of mission (DOM) as 08021971.  A Gift-box presentation includes a Certificate of Authenticity.

Bulova made this one-off for lunar use when Scott became the seventh man to walk on the moon, and the first to drive the lunar rover.

Come see the new Bulova Space Watch re-edition in person.  It’s so awesome!
